Gairaut is the neighbourhood of the northern hills of Nice, long covered in olive groves, which has kept a village character despite the spread of villas. Its cascade, a Belle Époque basin and artificial waterfall topped with an alpine chalet, was built in 1883 to celebrate the arrival of water from the Vésubie; the church of Saint-Sauveur and the old Chemin de Gairaut round off a quiet heritage, away from the bustle.
Here, you buy a house with a garden and a view over the city and the sea, a quarter of an hour by car from the centre. Flats exist, in 1970s-80s residences on Avenue de Rimiez or in Saint-Sylvestre, but the Gairaut market is first and foremost that of the family villa.

In Gairaut, the price per square metre means little: land, a view and level access count for more than the floor area built. We value hillside houses as houses, not as flats.
